I had 15* this morning, Oak and Ash carrying the load with a little Maple. Lots of last minute errands, dump run, cleaning the the house for tomorrows company arrival.

 

43/70 rainy most of the day. Just getting some ash going. Took the pooch for a ride with me to the dump, then wrapped my wife's gifts. Christmas is almost here.

 

33 and holding overnight. Elm, pine, red oak and cherry in the Lopi.

 

Temps still holding pretty good here. Just below freezing atm and heading for -8C/17F overnight. Pine chunks in little Chernobyl

 

Pretty moderate, but drizzle. Shoulder season wood, making a big bed of red coals. Will likely let it burn down Sunday.

good chance of rain Christmas, for driving. Better than last year- sub zero and broken water line upstairs.

 

24 / 72 with a belly full of fir for the night. It’s been awful mild so far this season, been kinda nice.

33/75 Burning down coals with lumber cutoffs

 

32 with Ash and Maple in the Wood Gun. Going to 38 today. Then 44,47,47,42 for high temps next four days.

Last night at 10pm it was 41f and what felt like a moderate spring shower. This morning at 7:30 am it’s 30f and snowing.
The forecast has been upped from winter weather advisory to blizzard warning. Probably only about 4” inches of snow forecast, but the wind is supposed to come up pretty good this afternoon.
Looks like a white Christmas after all. All last week was in the upper 50’s and 60.
Got’s me some hackberry in the stove

 

I've got 43/73. Probably let the fire go out and do a full ash clean out. Expecting 50 today and 54 tomorrow.

 

Good Morning to all. 33* here and light freezing rain. Just a small fire with the pieces from the bottom of the wood box.

 

40f here at my Parents place in Greelet, Ne. with near steady temperatures today. Below freezing tonight with freezing rain and snow tomorrow. If they're correct we are on the edge so won't get too much and won't effect our drive tomorrow back to Omaha.

Still in the low 50's today so I put out my rain gauge again since they are calling for a lot of rain in the next couple of days. 50+ on the 24th of December in Wisconsin is not something we see very often.

Wet and rainy, burning some silver maple to take the chill out of the house.

 

Topped at 25 this afternoon with light freezing rain all day, thankfully the ground is still warm. 22 / 76 with a full load of fir.
