I just use a couple plastic totes i had laying around. It keeps the mess contained and i just dump it out the next trip outside. If something unspeakable happens to me I'll just use a 2 wheel dolly i have and strap the tote to it.

moresnow did you get a chance to use the sling yet?

I just saw this one another group, thought I’d share as it’s pretty cool.

Looks like that method works fine. Simple force multiplier:smoke:

I have been using the sling and have nothing but good things to say about it. 6 of my splits puts the sling at a comfy capacity. Similar to what I would haul by hand.
The difference is comfort, speed, and ease as well as no more dropped splits as I navigate to the stove room or to my basement storage racks. Much much less dropped residue also. Actually, almost zero until you unload.
Would I revert to carrying by hand? Nooo way. Guessing that most here may agree if they tried one.
I've hauled 4 or 5 wheelbarrows to the house with roughly 36 splits per load. Figured I might as well as there is zero snow to navigate. Working well and saving my indoor stacks for when it's no fun to go outdoors for reloads.

I use the cheap blue tarp IKEA bags from Amazon...long enough for 20"-22" splits stacked, 4-6 layers tall in the bag...several years old, and just like a Timex...still keeps on ticking!

I just got this. Ordered from Amazon, I'll try to find and pist the link. Seems sturdy and well made, but just opened it up and have only used it once. It is floppy, may not suit some folks cause of that. Phone case for size reference.

I just use a tote on a harbor freight dolly. It's a real back saver. I back my truck up to the wood pile, load some wood on it, then back it up to the porch and fill the tote. Wheel it right into the house.

Birthday present. 16 gallon capacity. Matches my carrying capacity when overloaded between the carrying straps.

First winter, so far much better than the canvas sheets with handles which left a lot of debris (think pine bark) along the way because it was open ended.

    I liked the name too...

The square ends are about a foot squared. 26" long.

This thing holds a lot of wood. Wouldn't want much more weight wise unless I had the same bag on other side to counterbalance.

Had a simple canvas sling sewn around two dowels that I found at a flea market. Finally ripped so the wife got me this. Pretty convenient to leave one hand free for the door and distributes weight to the shoulders.
