I was kicking around the leaves at the center for homeless wood and found some limbs that are either hickory or pecan. They seem too flaky to be Hickory.

Thanks! Not my property, but I am blessed to be able to cut wood here. So many downed trees and not enough time.

If its pecan will you put aside for smoking wood or sell as such? Is pecan a rare score for you?

Ive only seen one yard pecan around here. Nice that you have room. Been trying to have an open rack or two for exotics if and when i get them. I need more mulberry.

Was moving wood from one of the meadow stashes to the woodshed. Moved 2 loads yesterday and hoping to get a couple more moved today.
It was mostly red maple with some silver maple and cherry mixed in.

free if the branding irons re-surface. I heard they got damaged. I'll fix them if they show up at a GTG.

I've fallen behind a bit on the hoarding. Time to get caught back up. This will go on a stack with some black locust for winter '25-'26.

He's one of my BL regulars. He used to take 16" splits and cut in half to burn. I have another cord of BL nuggets for him when he is ready.
