I didn't realize you still had the side dump trailer. That was a brilliant idea to use it to move the firewood.

That Facebook algorhythm has a sick sense of humor sometimes. I've been off social media (except FHC) for years mostly because of the toxicity. As for the way you had to find out, I feel for you. Not that it was going to be easier face to face, but at least it would've been more... respectful.

I kind of had seen it coming now for a couple years.

At least now the elephant is truly in the room.

My old lady gave me the boot on January 2nd 2020. We then had to live AND work together until she moved out in April of 2020 ( very happy day ) due to COVID. Getting divorced is a miserable experience but I'm glad she's gone now. Been dating someone for a few years now who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty and treats me great.

All I can say is, hang in there, it will only get better with time. I did lots of projects at home to keep my mind off of the situation, and probably drank a few too many beers along the way too.

I suspect that Glasir and it’s development will be good therapy.

When I bought this house, all the work I needed to get done on it was definitely the therapy I needed. It kept my mind busy as I figured out how to do things and away from lingering in dark places too much.

They say it takes on average 1 month for every year you were together to get back to "normal". But, there is no timeline as each person is different so don't let anyone tell you when you should be "over it". Give yourself some slack and time to grieve.

Today I spent Christmas with my dad (85).

we road tripped from his out to my oldest daughter’s house and her husband so that he could meet him as well as see their new house as well as get to see Glasir.

picked him up around 9:30 and dropped him off at 4:30. About a 240 mile round trip.

had Christmas with both of my daughters and their spouses. My daughters ex-husbands mom, grandparents and and sister joined us too.

Good to hear you spent time with family. I hope they can give you some support in these hard times. I wish you the best going forward, that's rough.

Well today was kind of a milestone.

picked up four Trojan L16-6 batteries for the camper. FB market place score. Trying to get them charged up and recovered now. It’s going to take some work.

these two were about 80% charge

    IMG_1880.jpeg

these two were actually frozen. They are now sitting in my daughter’s heated garage thawing.

this should give me 435 ah in just two batteries together for 12V. So close to 3-4 days worth with no air conditioning. I’d get 970 ah I’d I run them as a series/parallel set.

I also made an agreement (at least I think that’s where it’s at) for a pallet Jack battery that’s 24v Industrial FLA. Thing is a monster.

tomorrow I move snow to make way for going to get at least one semi truckload of cut and split oak firewood. That deal is for 10-12 cord.
