Good thing things were starting to dry out a little.

 

I don't ever remember a year where the weather was as bad as this year. I think there might have been 10 nice days all year.

Morning all. Overcast with the forecast of sunshine and then rain. We already got the glimpse of sunshine so I guess next will be rain.
Curling, football and bookkeeping will be on the agenda for today. I almost have that pair of socks finished so Christmas present wrapping and mailing tomorrow should be done - I hope. Retirement brings no schedules and lots of unexpected "lets do this". It is kind of fun once you start thinking in that way.

An indoor day today. Should be windy.

A good day for warm temps. I noticed yesterday that the gasket around the ash door had become loose. No way can there be a fire with the door removed. So, the warm day ahead should be fine to cement the gasket where it belongs.

Morning all. Yesterday's weather was rather nice all day. Unfortunately I spent the whole day inside. I finished the pair of socks I was working on so today is wrap and mail time. Today is wet out there.

In the spirit of "Let's do this", I got a lesson on cleaning and loading the Vedolux wood boiler yesterday. When you know what you are doing, it doesn't take long. When you are learning, it takes awhile. Next time I will write notes while campinspecter does the work. Loading and firing I have done a few times before but this was only the second time for cleaning.

The shop did. Bad wire from the + battery side. Kubota had made a plug- in close to the terminal. It had gotten corroded. He cut it off and put new terminal on. Only charged about $45. With the loader on, it's hard to reach that area.

Nice day ahead. 38⁰/45⁰ sun/cloud mix.

Wild day yesterday. We had our power off/on before losing it for about 3hrs. The reason -

That's about a mile from our place. Some area towns won't have power restored for another day or two.

I just have lots of small branches and sticks to clean up.

High water in all the area ponds and rivers. I'm guessing we got at least 3inches of rain.

I may go grocery shopping area and check out the immediate area.
