34/68. No fire this morning. High of 63 today so probably won't need a fire until tonight. Loading up the Lopi Mike in Okla
Good Morning, we are right at 32* with flurries currently, we had a dusting overnight. Some UFO wood (Unidentified Firewood Object) in the stove.
31/70 oak, ash, cherry. Mostly walnut last few days, which is the wood I have the least experience with. I like it.
Just realized I’ve been posting the wrong numbers (daily high / daily low). Seems the convention is current outside/ current inside. I’ll get with the program
30/72. Packed the box full of premium red oak right before going outside to watch some of the meteor shower. Pretty neat.
35/65 ... Got the fire rolling with some oak this morning... Carbine ... I like walnut... really nice burning wood especially if you can get the bark to come off before going into the stove...
20/69. Suppose to be 32 and sunny. Might need to restart the fire until tonight. We get a lot of solar gain.
20 with Cherry and Beech loaded in this morning. Winter is finally here. Oh, wait. It will be 50 on Monday with rain. Never mind.
I had a problem and could not load the stove last night before bed time. Woke up at 3:00 and house was a bit chilly and only a very few small coals. I hate starting a fire during the night... At least it is warm in here now.
24 outside, and only 64 inside. The furnace should’ve kicked on, but didn’t. I hope this isn’t going to be an expensive fix In the meantime red oak, black walnut and black cherry in the Lopi.
