To make the top of my stack convex so it would shed water easier when covered.

Looks like a Chunky or Fat Molly. I have a couple of Flying Pigs, have yet to light them up though.

Deererainman They’re little 10 minute specials, got a whole mess of them. The little ones that ship in the attractive little tin.

I adore DE Liga cigars, though they’re out of budget for now! My VERY favorites are Willy Herrera’s Nortenos, though. I just fall to pieces for that blend. Also Nica Rusticas. Yes!

Anyways, I’ll never forget Jonathan Drew himself giving me an Undercrown and lighting it for me. This was at a DE event at Thompson Cigars in Tampa. I have pics, but I’m not in them - just The Wife looking fly with a box of Cold Infusions and Mr. Drew mugging with her.

He also signed our humidor, which we bought there that day. Good times.

Really neat pic ya posted there. Is that some effect or just how it happened to come out?

Thank you. No filters or effects, just years of actual photography training, made utterly obsolete by smartphones! For 15 years (2002-2017), my photography niche was infinitesimally small but served me in good stead. Still does, in a different capacity - even if I never use an SLR anymore.

Mr. Cottonwood stopped by today and we did some cutting on the “not crazy” neighbor’s property. You may recall it’s the property with a lot of dead ash trees on it.

(Mr. Cottonwood still weeps bitterly when we pass the crazy neighbor’s place with all that pre-bucked wood, plus dead standing hickory…)

Anyways it was in the low thirties today and I stayed quite warm in a single layer. Now I know why. I’m currently running a fever and had to leave work. Glad to be in bed.

    Here’s what we cut:

The longest skinny logs there are 10 feet, for perspective. And the wood was mostly up a big hill, so there was some tough sledding today. I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you Mr. Cottonwood is beast-mode strong, and he did much of the heavy lifting, literally.

I got my stacks covered once we got everything unloaded. We’re expecting some snow tonight.

I am quarantined in the basement tonight. Upstairs is HOT. We’ve been burning the last of the cottonwood and buckthorn but have alternated with red oak, mulberry, and ash chunks.

    Have a great night, y’all.

Forgot to mention that Mr. Cottonwood and I picked these up… He kept one, I kept two:

Many of the day’s jokes involved this label on one of the totes:

Had no idea they still made this stuff. All 4 years of High School all the city boys made fun of my bovadine stained fingernails. ( I milked 200 cows after school and the farmer used it).

I let ‘em make fun of me cause my pockets were full of green cold hard cash and theirs were not. Farm boys always had pocket change but we worked hard for it. We had no probs with the ladies because we had money!

Yup, on the occasion that I had to milk in the morning, I'd get comments about still smelling like the pipeline sanitizer...washing/shower didn't get it off...seems to have to wear off.

Well, we’re back on our feet after a little dance with Mr. COVID. It was my first time. He was passably gentle, but neither The Wife nor I wouldn’t recommend him for company either way.

So, in the interest of ‘keeping on’, let’s….
