Hooking up a DHW tank to a wood stove? Anyone try this?

    My dad put a water coil in our wood stove back in the late 80s, it worked excellent.....it kept our family of 15 in all the hot water we could use.
    Our water heater tank was upstairs directly above the stove, so it didn't even require a circulator pump........the water would thermal-siphon.....hot water up, cold water down.
