Yet Another Funny Picture Thread (3rd attempt)

In NH they're called traffic circles, folks are pretty good at jumping in and out. People in lightly populated areas tend to be more polite.

My uncle rolled a fairly new GMC Astro with a full (knowing him probably more than full) load of lumber in the Portsmouth circle back in the early 80s. He said it was the best thing he ever did cause he hated that truck and wished he’d never bought it.

 

Easy does it mahomes! Don't be a poor sport.

I dislike roundabouts.... they are effective....but I think it's stupid when they put em in extremely low traffic areas....stop signs are way cheaper than a total road overhaul.

I know the Portsmouth Circle well, my youngest son lives a mile away.

 

They are putting in more of those roundabouts here . Some in weird out of the way rural areas , which seems odd . I don’t mind the “simple “ one lane roundabouts but there are some that are just ridiculous. There’s a few that are 2 lane and 4 of the dang things in a row when you get off e-way . If you’re a local you know which lanes to be in , ( I’m not a local ) otherwise you’ll be getting the 1 finger salute as you try to navigate thru them .

There’s also the roundabouts at the GM truck plant and 75 in Flint . These your dealing with semi’s and shift workers . It’s a mess at times .

 

We have 2 in our small town, one on a major hiway, double lanes around. The other is the only one in the state like it...it has a railroad crossing thru the middle of it......

 

That doesn't even sound right!!!




The county I live in does not have a stoplight much less roundabouts.

 

Is it even possible to be that dumb as the person in the first pic?

Regarding the 2nd pic, our bernese mountain dog will do the same thing all summer long when it is outside. You will always find it laying in the shade! Same as cattle. Driving out west will find entire herds (small herds) trying to be in the shade of a billboard sign or tree.

 

So they couldn't put it anywhere else....

 

Yes it's possible. When I was in diesel/auto tech school the one instructor told us of a car that was towed into the dealership, he was a service manager at, for a no start. Turns out the engine was completely full of oil, to the top of the valve cover. She was checking the "engine oil" by pulling the transmission dip stick which read low because it was cold. She kept pouring more oil into the engine because the transmission stick kept reading low. I had to have been a lot of oil too.

 

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 75. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin.



Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high*with may flours.



Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded.



Born and bread in Minnesota, Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.



Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children: John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.



The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.
