    Except the interesting smell of smoke emanating from the basement, that looks like a fun idea.
    Tempting even.
    I think I'd flatten the end of the hot side a tad.
    and strip the insulation back. When the little buggers grab the hot side to hang on for balance.....

    My father did this years ago when he had squirrels that kept destroying the bird feeders.
    I was young but still remember the coil of wires that he had on a wooden disc under the feeder.
    Funny what things you remember from growing up.

    Seriously... what's with roundabouts? I've started seeing some pop up here. WTH? The next one I have to drive through I'm just going to down shift, nail it, and slide around it and to hell with everyone else. If you know what they are and how to properly use them you're obviously from out of state.

    We have a few locally now. Several years now. Once you know the process its better that a 4 way stop or lights. In my opinion.

    I don't like that basically I have to cut someone off just to get into it otherwise I'm just sitting there. They're a reminder that too many people are moving here.

    Same here...more than a few at this point, and agreed...it has sped up busy intersections, and lowered crash rates at bad spots...PITA, but they do work.
