Couple old moose pics, of a young guy

Backwoods reminded me I haven't hunted deer in a while
This young guy has got a few moose though,.
Back in the day, he could even pack them out.

The hide is from an early Spring bear,
I sometimes wear it to Halloween parties & give "bear hugs "

 

Nice rifle looks like a Weatherby in first pic.I used to have a lazermark.

Was going thru some old pictures,
taking digital pics of them. Figured I'd share a couple for the hunters out there.

Otter, coyotes & fox from my trapping days: (Got some marten, lynx & wolverine pics somewhere.)

The second pic. had me laughing, I know that look.-
Thighs burning, almost numb between the shoulders, going "what the heck was I thinking??"

That's some of the memories that make me hunt where I can take the atv now.

So young back then I'd heal up fast & forget the pain & do the same thing the next year LOL.
Not any more .
Now give me a small spike or forked horn, close to the atv, so much smaller & better eating
The hunt & camping is the fun, pulling the trigger stops all the fun
Hoping for others to do the shooting this year.

You nailed it there, Bogy! We've always said that when you "get one" the work starts.
Back in the 80's, a couple of the old timers at camp would wear whistles around their necks...always said that if they heard a shot and then a whistle, they would go the other direction to get out of work!
