Sitting at -11C/12F this morning, which is nice, considering some years we'll have been stuck in snow and cold for 5-6 weeks already. Still no snow to speak of here, anything that fell is now ice. Pine chunks for breakfast.

Warm out last night. The low was warmer than it is right now. Supposedly 48° for a low last night. 43° out now and we had a good rain overnight.

Ash in the quadrafire to take the chill out of the house. 72° inside.

40f at 4:00 this morning. Sitting at 34f now. Been burning some "past its prime" maple that was slated for Lefty. House is sitting at 70f and not sure if the furnace is on or not. All I do know is that it has not been running.

Yesterday it warmed so fast and so high I thought for sure I had either forgot to change the calendar to May or else My name was Rip Van Wrinkle. It got to 62degrees then fell 9 degrees in about 10 minutes! I thought it would be cold overnight but only 38 this morning. It will probably drop a few more degrees by sunup.
