Oh no! Don't say anything about horses! Thats one of the favorite analogies of the EV crowd!!!

ex: "With your opposition to the EV, I suppose you would have chosen to keep the horse when gasoline engine cars were introduced?"

Wow ! Tree killer as I said before the volt isnt for everyone . It wouldn’t be good for you , great I could also give 2 chits . People drive different vehicles all over the states for what serves their own purpose . The volt works great for ME . You don’t see lots of 4 wheel drive vehicles in Florida on the other hand here in Mich you don’t see many 2 wheel drive trucks on the lot .

I agree. The problems are the government subsidies and mandates (control).

Now wait a minute........with all that low cost energy available to you and with your strong feelings for the EV and their endless world saving and financial benefits....yet you decided to purchase a diesel engine tractor? Surprised you didn't end up with an electric tractor.

Does this mean there is hope for you yet?

One was sold in the state of Maine. There are currently 15 left in the state. 5 in Bangor and 10 in Winslow. The factory is sending their own people to perform recalls and updates. Batteries are dead in most of them. The company is now looking for a new owner cause they figured out it’s a losing proposition and ready to throw the towel in the dumpster fire.

Sounds like similar problems to EV's. Lucky no forced buying for those yet!

Oddly, gas prices in CT are cheaper than Mass or VT at the current point in time.

Yeah if you opt out (wisely) you loose all ev support but don’t get the forced shipments and told to just deal with it.

I looked at them, they weren’t actually available when I was ready to make my last tractor purchase. I called them, they couldn’t tell me when they would be available or who their dealer would be and they don’t make a model that fits my needs as well as my Kubota. They are a brand new company that has never produced a product before, dealer support is everything in equipment. Deere dealers only sell Deere and the Kubota dealer I trust said that they weren’t going to carry them, so I passed. The other tractor dealers around here are just glorified ATV dealers. When Deere, Kubota or maybe Mahindra or Kioti make an electric tractor that fits my needs I will be banging down the dealers door to be their first customer.

And when I find a well supported compelling electric SxS that fits my needs, the gas Ranger will be replaced.

My next chainsaw will be electric, our lawnmower and trimmer are electric.

And when Mrs DG and I retire in the next couple years and we start traveling by RV, it will be electric. I’ve got a deposit on one of these. Maybe towed by a Cybertruck?

Noticed yesterday that here in my little corner of NH, gas prices are still at $3.45 ($3.35 if you use their loyalty card).

You might want to re-think that one! It may be a really short trip. :rofl: :rofl:

It's nice to hear you are still working, too. Remember when you said you loved your job so much that you would work for free?

Back on track-locally, gas in 2.84. 10 cents discount per gallon with courtesy card. Last time I checked, LP was 1.45

I must say, it is adorable how interested you are in my personal and professional life.

I am keenly aware of the state of the public charging infrastructure, it’s nice of you to be concerned for me, but I am not worried.

Sadly, my days of being employed in my current capacity of being physically present at work are numbered. Mrs DG would like to be done working and has some life long dreams of traveling this country by RV. Being married for some time now, life partners and all that, I’m obliged to make that happen for her and accompany her on the journey. We are ready now, but still have some four legged critters that need our daily attention and I’m not willing to bring them with us. So, for now, we are sitting tight and just enjoying life as it comes. I have told my work group of my plans. They have asked me to consider staying on as a consultant when the time comes that I can’t be there on a daily basis. I’m inclined to take them up on the offer as I am committed to the work and would love to pitch in however I can and stay abreast of the progress. So, “retired” sort of…if they want to pay me then I’ll probably take them up on that.

Maybe you can pm me if you’d like to be kept up to date.

Back on track…I have no idea what gas prices are locally.

    Adorable? Ewe talk funny.

You're the one that brought up the conversation of how much you like your job and that you would work without a paycheck. (No one asked about any aspect of your life; it's info that you offered.)

I called BS on the working for no paycheck scenario.

Then, your bloomers got twisted and you flew off the handle. It appears that you are better than a couple years ago when it wasn't pleasant to read your posts/replies.

The price of gasoline is easy enough to observe locally as it is listed in large numbers outside of the stations that you silently glide past.

If you are able, go ahead and retire early and begin traveling.....before they restrict that freedom. :handshake:

Heck, I have gasoline vehicle and I rarely even see prices, much less pay attention. I only get gas about once a month. My normal travels don't take me by any gas stations. I only noticed last week because I was outside my normal travels and had to wait for the car ahead of me to turn into a gas station. Otherwise, I wouldn't have paid attention because it just doesn't affect me that much.

Kind of like in the local grocery store. I pass by kiwis, limes, oranges, avocados every time I enter the local grocery store (at least 2x/week). And they have big signs telling you the price, but since I don't ever buy them I don't pay attention and have no idea what the going prices are :D
