No, Not wet MD. Mine is the dry kind. Just not so kind. It is dead center in my right eye. I have a veteran friend who has the dry kind also. He went for a consultation because his MD thought he might be a candidate for the shots. He went for the consult, but they turned him down saying that it wouldn't help him. Nearly impossible for me to read with my right eye. Sometimes I cover it over. I can use the written-to-voice option on the computer. Sometimes I use the magnifying option.

A few years ago I was diagnosed with the dry MD. About a year ago it changed into the wet MD in my left eye. The Dr told me I have a 50% chance of developing the wet MD in my right eye in the next 5 years. I also have a lot of opaque floaters that interfere with reading. Getting old is a real challenge.

Sadly watched my mother go down a path to total vision loss from it over the course of 6 years. The mental toll it toke her after having been a Registered Nurse for 42 years, was absolutely devastating.

I think it was the late 80's or early 90's when my dad lost central vision in both eyes overnight due to wet MD. He loved to read and the Lion's Club he belonged to loaned him a closed circuit camera and a monitor so he could continue to read. He adapted really well in doing many chores around the house.

The county road crew is dropping trees along the right of way of the highway that goes past our place. A lot of the wood is getting chipped but I did ask if they could leave some logs for me for firewood. They aren't done yet working next to our property and they have left a number of years of wood for me to process. I will try to get more pics tomorrow. Glad it is going to be another warm day.

27 and light snow here today. We only have 4" on the ground so far since the beginning of November. Rivers and lakes still wide open. Big time whining from the ice fishermen and snow mobiliers so far.

I have been able to get out and do a little bit of cutting on the wood that is down, courtesy of the county. One of the county guys stopped to talk to me and said something about he would like to have it all cleaned up by Monday. I asked , what month and what year:rofl: :rofl: . These are the pics I took today of the cutting I have gotten to and a glimpse of what is yet to get cut. I did not capture all of the wood piles the county crews have made.

We had company this week with family members staying at our house and my Mother’s house. Tuesday was my Mother’s 90th Birthday Party! About 70 people at the party. Mostly family, with some of my Mother’s neighbors and friends in attendance as well. A very nice party, and several days of visiting, playing cards, eating too much good food, etc. Our company went home this morning. Great to see my oldest brother and his wife. Only get to see them once or twice a year. Also great to see my older sister and her husband. They stayed at my Mother’s house. Same limited time with them.

Relaxing tonight. Cleaned the boiler room today and improved the air intake and overhead fan exhaust pipes to the Wood Gun. Going to get outside for an hour or so 7-8 and walk, get some fresh air.

Had the bald faced hornets nest out drying. I set it on the Fireview for size reference.

Wind predicted but they can't seem to make up their mind. First it is on then off. Now they say from 11:00 til 6:00.

I will have to check the road before I go out. Trash truck dumped a partial load of trash which included glass. They were still trying to clean up late yesterday afternoon.

Ordered a desk mat Thursday about noonish from Amazon. At 2:05 pm I got an email saying it would be here today.

Yesterday morning, about 10 am, I heard a somewhat loud vehicle. That house across the street is for sale and has a lot of traffic (and the flippers have fairly loud trucks - which is what I really expected to see), and houses on either side that are being either built or rehabbed with work trucks and vans coming and going. When I looked out the window I did not expect it to be at my place, nor did I expect that type of vehicle. He started rummaging around in the back.

I grabbed my binoculars to see if I could make out anything distinguishing because the neighbors kitty-corner to me always get deliveries and I was wondering about porch pirates. Then the guy went to the passenger side back seat. When he opened that door, I could see a quick flash of Amazon boxes all over and he was moving packages all over, obviously looking for one. And it dawned on me that it was an Amazon truck - LMFAO.

So I grabbed my phone again just as he was finished looking there.

Then he went to the back seat on the driver's side, and started looking again. Then he went to the back hatch again. I'm thinking, "dude, that SUV isn't very big, how can it take that long to find the package you want?" I was also thinking he needed a bigger SUV as the one he had couldn't even hold as much as my old Jeep Patriot.

Anyway, he finally found the package and dropped it off. Spot fully approves of the box I got her :D

I'm glad that turned out well. We hear too often about porch pirates.

    Merry Christmas.

We had quite a wind blow up a while before sunset. Walked to the shoreline and it was a sustained wind. Kind of expected the ice to start sheeting over itself. For that wind to be blowing across a wide open space, it sure was noisy. If you backed off the shoreline 50 feet-ish you could use normal tones in speaking once again.
