Wasn't particularly happy with the way the OEM dogs attached to the clutch cover, also with them I couldn't use the captive nut clutch cover my saw came with before installing the full wrap handlebar. These dogs from West Coast allow me to use the captive nut cover and. Think I have the saw exactly how I want it now.

The lightweight bar made a huge difference in comfort. Before it felt like a clunky lead weight was always hanging off the tip of my bar- now with the tsumura it handles like a samurai sword.

Good to know that the West Coast Spikes work with the captive nut.
I had to go to a standard nut on my 550xp with the spike on the clutch cover.
Will look into maybe some WCS spikes.

You have some nice minty looking vintage saws in the background. Very cool. I like the 3 point dogs. They keep the saw off the log, which my OCD likes. Lol

Finally broke down and bought one of these cheap top handles. $82 from Amazon. On its 2nd tank of fuel. Im actually pretty impressed with it so far. 20231207_154347.jpg

2100CD the saws I started on when I was 14.
    Absolute torque monsters.:dex:

I just ran it against my husky 359.....the 2100 made three + cuts in 12" oak for every one with the 359.

Is that saw patterned after something, or is it just straight up china? (not a clone).

I'd like to share a photo my friend Dan took of my Dad's saw when they were cutting around the area I was building my deer stand in 2018. That was a fun weekend. EE831264-CF1F-49F6-AD4C-4D5AD61900EF.jpeg

I think they are a Zenoah clone of some type.

I don't think it's a clone . But they had to get the idea from somewhere. It only says chainsaw 2500, no tag, no serial number, nothing. But the little thing runs good.

This is a Zenoah top handle. They look nearly identical so I assumed they were a counterfeit of a Zenoah.

Yes it is identical. I haven't seen one of those. I don't like the plastic case extension piece because it only has a 10" bar and you lose 2" of bar because of it. But otherwise I'm happy so far. It's very light and runs great.

Cut a load of beech. Left the XS362 in the toolbox. Used the ms251. Lots of branches to cut and move. Got a new 18” bar and put it to use, I found 10 Stihl full chisel chains for the 251, figured I’d put them to use. It was wearing a 16 before. IMG_0315.jpeg

It’s not the fastest saw but it does alright with a muffler mod.
