Yeah with a hip replacement. Avascular necrosis. Broke my pelvis and destroyed the hip socket in 2016. On top of that got the same dose of radiation in one shot as someone getting treatment for cancer. Those two things pretty much wrote the outcome on the wall that day.

A gentleman I use to work with had both of his hips replaced. One about two years before he retired, and the other about a year before he retired. I would say he retired about 6-7 years ago now. Last I knew, he is still going strong. Very active.

Yup. My wife is a PT and knows all the doctors. Knows the good ones and who to run away from. The one this guy is using he says they are claiming high 20 year lifetime. That keeps changing because they are not that old yet. Started with 12 year life 16 years ago.

This guy I use to work with was about 68 or 69 when he finally retired.

Sux that you went thru all that in 2016, and now have to do more surgery with all that goes with it afterwards. Glad you have someone you can trust to help weed out the surgeons and can help you thru PT - and keep an eye out to make sure you don't overdue PT that will have negative consequences.

Found a car lot that has 4 Tommy Lifts listed for sale. Went and looked yesterday and picked out the most rust-free of the bunch. Should bolt right up and I think the price is right at $250. May enlist the help of my brother to bolt it on this weekend.

    Sorry, not great pictures. 20231128_161415.jpg

Aw Stephie, you can do it without help. It's just like wrestling.

All kinds of small jobs getting done around the house and property today. The most fun is running the new Stihl MS400C :saw: to cut up and clean up some of these piles. Getting some firewood out of them as I go along. Should have a face cord out of today’s work.

Going to see about cleaning off some of the rust where it is against the box and maybe try some FlexSeal on it, unless I change my mind and go with a brush on bedliner.

No doubt Dennis that I could do it, but he is an extra set of hands plus heated garage.

UPOR is a better start on the rust treatment. Then paint it spray it with fluid film before installing.
