Had been in the low 80's recently for highs, mid 50's at night. Cold front here now, about 30 this morning.

Thank you, my friend. The rails sure make it easier to load with the conveyor, just use a rake to spread it out a bit.
Our terrain is mostly flat with some rolling hills.
We added an extra benjamin for delivery.

Had a call from a repeat customer today, close to noon, needed a load of wood...:picard::picard:as we were hauling logs and I needed to get some sleep...:zip:
Luckily, somebody did some better planning :thumbs::thumbs: and already had them 2 totes of 14" splits cut.
We went ahead and delivered it, they have a child at home.
Sure made for some short sleep... 20231101_132131.jpg

Time for an update. Had a few loads find new homes, one guy got cooking wood and firepit wood. 20231105_154203.jpg
Had a couple more loads that we didn't get pictures of. Did pick up a new guy that wanted oak of BBQ. Said he had already saved our #...:):)...
So we split another tote of oak so it can start drying. Put his initials on it... 20231109_210536.jpg
Got another tote of oak back in the restaurant rotation... 20231107_195612.jpg
Delivered a cord load today... 20231115_102048.jpg
I tried to use a tote bladder as a stand alone container. Sorta worked, pretty flimsy. We put it back in a cage and fastened the top on it. Going to put kindling in this one, I think 20231115_152528.jpg 20231115_152508.jpg
Logging crew is cutting a few miles from us. They're in some nice swamp timber now. We stopped and watched them with this big oak log...:drool::drool:

We delivered a mixed load of oak and hickory yesterday morning... 20231116_095635.jpg
Then we CSS this load of oak and maple for a neighbor, she gets a couple loads a year from us. She has a big barn to store it in. She's a couple yrs ahead...:thumbs::thumbs: 20231116_143739.jpg
Then Miz Carol and I sat a deer stand that evening. Saw 3, didn't harvest any.

Those scrapes are super handy. I mix them in with my regular wood as I stack.

Had Monday off, so 1st thing, moved the full tote and the split the leftover rounds, got about 1/3 tote from that. I'll get a :ithappened:of that today. After running an errands, we loaded the truck for delivery... 20231127_170017.jpg
And our close friend brought his truck over for a load of oak for their fireplace 20231127_165215.jpg
We had a potential customer on FB looking for wood, another seller responded before us, posted his price...
Pickup load..."cured" $150, green $120...he wanted a load of "cured"
I had sent him a PM with our price and pics of sheds and loads. He said he would keep us in mind...he contacted us on Sunday afternoon, could we come by one day to see where he wanted it. Went by Monday evening, showed him the load on the truck, he paid in advance.....said other guy never showed up...:whistle:...
Tuesday morning, we carried him a big tote of clean oak...he was very happy...:handshake:
    20231128_103418.jpg 20231128_104758.jpg
Another customer called Monday, had enough for that night left...:picard::picard:
They use a custom 14" length, we had planned for it, had a tote ready... 20231128_085702.jpg
    20231128_092923.jpg
Then we went to our close friend's house and helped him stack their load... 20231128_114853.jpg

Jeff, what length are the splits when you go 3 rows in the IBC tote? Is that the 330 gallon tote?

Started using them totes... So far like them... But my baby JD can only lift like 3/8" of a loaded tote... So everything else is hand loaded... I think I like them, just need to figure out logistics and locations... So I wont have to touch them too often...
