Nope not me. What is a shame is the main house down there. That is a prime spot but the house is really showing the lack of care it has had over the years. Back when I was in high skewl and hung out there that place did NOT look like it does today. damm shame.
Well, my work schedule got super busy and it sold before I had a chance to look at it. It being a pretty good distance away made it tough to get together with the seller. The search continues.......
Thats happened a lot to me as well. You almost have to drop your life when a good deal shows up. Although i drove over an hour to get my MS400 a couple years ago. Will the Mrs. buy you one for Christmas?
Brand wise it was a toss up. I liked the idea of a non computer saw, was familiar with the Husky 3 series, already have the Husky mount bars, ect.... The big difference in price had to be factored in also. As far are the Christmas list goes, I'm sure she still has underwear and socks on her list. I'm looking forward to the Big Brown Truck arriving in a few days.
Finished up the cherry today. Took the 395 out for its maiden voyage. Wearing a 28” Total bar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Never ran one. Love it. Sounds a heck of a lot like the 288, but better. I was impressed. You were correct about the oiler, it will lay down some oil.
Also, momma supprised me with a Peavy picaroon, with a 72" handle. It's laying lengthwise along the rear bumper. It will come in handy this morning dragging rounds from the back of the truck.
Worked up the cherry. Checked the spits with the m/m. 23 to 26% lots of bark coming off. The loaded wheelbarrow is filled with splitter trash. I’m becoming a wood snob. The less desirable splits go to the fire pit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't remember cherry having a twisted grain, maybe it was just this tree. Seems it was rare to get a nice clean split. Maybe all the Oak I've been cutting has spoiled me. It was a good change of pace though. What I really need to find is a good Hedge Apple to cut on.
