35 this AM. Senor Buckthorn took the morning chill out of the air. E-W on the bottom, N-S up top. This made for one hot dang fire. Went from sweats and a robe to shorts real dang quick. Oh, and a very Hoardy Thanksgiving to all of you!

35f out, 71f in. Burning Lodgepole Pine and Cherry/White Oak/Poplar furniture scraps. We're do for 12" of snow and 0 degree temps. Pulled one last cord out of the woods yesterday, might be my last for the year.
37* out and 64 in, I burned no wood today as the cook stove burners and oven were baking, roasting , cooking away all day. Fat, dumb, and happy is where I'm at right now. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Just lit 4 splits of red oak with horse chestnut noodles and honey locust splitter scrap. I have 43/68.
Kept a small fire all day long. Wind chills temps were in the single digits today. Never rose above the mid 20's today.
stovetop 590F with 3 small red oak splits and a big black locust. my eyes tell me most of those flames are purple but my ipad can’t capture the color my eyes see
shovel and poker. Almost never use them anymore. With the deeper firebox of this stove you tend to burn your arms on coals if you have to dig to the back. So now I use the longer handled store bought one
Finally tuned the heat side of the boiler system on the other day. Been a super mild fall. Low of 31 tonight. Silver maple on duty for the next 3ish weeks.
