    Wish i had an answer as im not far behind you in the bad teeth dept. Needed braces and never got them as a kid. I have a nervous tick of grinding them. Many have been pulled and as i type have two more needing extraction one ASAP and hurting. My mom had full mouth dentures but refused to wear them...why i dont know. I think of the pureed food she would eat in the home prior to her passing last year and as unappetizing as they looked it seems im not far behind now.

    Ive thought of full mouth of implants but the cost is nuts. If i had better credit (minimal credit history) id consider financing.

    Ms. buZZsaw (she has major dental issues as well) texted me the other night asking dinner plans and i joked pureed pizza? A couple blenders is cheaper than dental implants. Good thing i like yogurt, applesauce and soup! :picard:

    Let us know how you make out.

    Bummer on the one day thing! I might guess that's what my Aunt's boyfriend did, thus the long drive. I won't go that route even if I could, thanks. Another yea on dentures are comfortable, Great!

    Did you have braces? My very back molar is a gold crown, I've ground through it, it's white underneath and some kind of red bonding layer beneath the gold. That's one of them I like remove.

    Brad, I'm sorry, bad teeth are a big deal, 1 healthwise, and 2 eating is a pleasure of life. We'll have to see how the $$ comes out for partials, I have a credit card I might have to use, I don't have a clue what it might cost.

    A thought you might be interested in, I wanted an operation for a dog eons ago, like late 90's. It was like $1500 and that was a lot back then, I took the brochure from the counter and ended up using card many more times over the years, both dentist and at the veterinarians. I just looked it up and it's still here which means it has to be legit being around for decades. I didn't have much credit back then and also didn't make very much $. Also it will build some credit history for you.

    Back in the 70's or 80's, can't remember exactly when, my dad had impressions taken and dentures made, then went in for dental surgery to have all his teeth pulled and the new dentures put in. Went to sleep with teeth and woke up with teeth. I don't remember him having a lot of problems with them.

    eeks, that sounds awful! Husband has 2 of his 3 wisdom teeth pulled so far. Would it relieve some pressure if you had your two bottom wisdom teeth pulled? I had all 4 pulled before I turned 18 while still under my Dad's insurance. I feel bad for you and WWW, but I'm not going to try to beg plead or force another man to go to the dentist, it never worked on mine lol.

    So they told me way back when it is pretty major surgery. Have to break lower jaw on both sides and remove a chunk. Teeth come out through the side. That pretty much made me tell them absolutely not happening. A couple times I’ve had some pretty good infections in them but last time was in 1995. I’ve just left them alone.

    For me pulling wisdom teeth at 22 saved my teeth,
    Crowding solved as teeth shifted back giving over teeth room

    most teeth have 2 nerves

    I had 4 or 5 per molar
    Doctor was like of course;
    you have double nerves
    Don’t go numb easily
    Immune to nitrous
    And relax pill has no effect on you either

    She had to break two of WWW's teeth because his roots were wrapped around his jaw, but yikes not his jaw!

    I had my top wisdom teeth taken out in my later 20's. Held off on my lowers as that would require surgery because of nerves being too close and wrapped (any false moves had the potential to paralyze my jaw on that side). In my early 30's couldn't stand the constant pain any more and had the surgery. They had to put me fully under to ensure I didn't move.

    Helped with overcrowding of teeth somewhat. I have a really small mouth - in my teens I had to have 4 teeth dug (1 in each quadrant) out to make room. Even with a total of 8 teeth gone, my teeth are overlapped and crooked. But, they don't cause any issues so I'm good.

    wildwest talked to the wife; she said
    Try to keep as many of your original teeth as you can;
    she said Top dentures are easier to get used to. Top part of jaw doesn’t move.
    Partials are good and bad.. easier to get used to but they hook to another tooth. Statistically that tooth that it’s hooked too has double rate of future problems.
    Ask questions I will get you more answers
