Years ago had a chance to buy a complete caliber set of 600’s for $12000. I passed. My wife would have killed me. This collector had 160 of em. I was was amazed.

I'm on the board. Wife said we're about out of burger. Burned a 15 dollar tag. 20231111_075918.jpg

I process my own deer. I’ve heard too many horror stories about not getting your own meat back and gutshot meat. I don’t do the prettiest job but I know everything that happened during processing. Freezer paper and tape, I sharpie what’s in the package.

Same reason here as well. I also feel it's part of the whole experience. I used paper and tape for years. Been using a vacuum sealer for the past 2. I'll never look back....so much easier.

Quiet morning so far today. I let a 6 point walk last night at 5 pm. He was a really dark colored buck, I think he was an older one. At least it made the day enjoyable.

I bone everything out but take it to a meat shop about a mile from the house. My hunting partners wife works there so I know what happens to my meat. Pretty trustworthy shop.

Sitting in the blind watching the blue jays eat my corn. Haven’t seen a deer since October.

I have a new small property I started hunting on last year and every time I went last year I saw deer. This year with 3 trips, nothing except crows. I changed spots for my hunt last evening back to a place I've hunted for many years. At least I had action there. Came back today to my new spot and quiet again.

I saw plenty just not what I wanted. Dad got a decent 8 point. I'll get a picture later.

Dad got what is probably the biggest body buck that has been taken off our lease in years. Horns are small for the body. Big for central Arkansas. For reference he is 6'5" 315 pounds. 20231111_185002.jpg 20231111_184928.jpg
