I just got some because it was all the local store had available. Seems pretty ‘thin’ compared to the stuff I normally get.

 

That's the brand, but I don't remember it labeled as 10 weight. I liked the stuff I ran, maybe a couple of years ago. Maybe it's just the green jug that trips my trigger.

 

Yes mine wasn't 10w. It was regular bar oil.

Not much daylight left now after work. Managed a little more than a rick. Phone sure does make it look like there is more light than it actually is.

 

Anyone ever split ash that was like splitting elm?

 

A few times yes, some of them can get stringy. Maybe not as bad as elm, but similar to a stubborn batch of white oak.

 

Noticed after cutting it gets light red rings on the fresh cuts. This is logs that have been cut for a couple years.
