I'm moving this to the EPA stove section.

What model is that? It looks like a miniature of my stove the f50.

Nice looking stove! Other than some cleaning, is it all ready to go?

Thank you Pete. Gonna clean it after I take the kids to their football game. Then it will be time to get dirty

Keep us posted on your findings in that inside pipe, NY. I take my inside pipe off at least two times per season to check it and clean it. Mine is single wall so it tends to get a little dirtier than double wall. At any rate it's good practice to take it off and clean it proper. Elbows can be difficult to see through and/ or clean out if you don't take them off......

I sure will. I clean it once a year. I clean everything just so it burns nice and smooth. I don't like to see anything in the pipes otherwise it's a job half azz done..

I love it. It heats up my house 2,000 sq ft nice and toasty. I'm gonna put the blowers on this year. It's worked like a charm last year without the blowers and it was cold. This year suppose to be a lot colder. There isn't no ash pan but that doesn't bother me. I got a good ash vac so I'm good.

A friend of mine gave me a cheetah and it works well. They have new ones that come out every year. They are pricey. I usually use it once a month to clean it real good otherwise use little brush and a steel dustpan and use the ash for the driveway in the winter time.

Think this will be the 7th season with the 118. Lot of heat, burns less wood than most and very easy to use.

I have found the ash pan to be useless anyways. We dont even use it on the f50. I think our stoves are fairly close in size but ill be honest I like your baffle in the top. Top loading would be sorely missed n this house though. Is yours a cook top too? Thats an awesome feature of Jotul....

Thanks. I never cooked on it but I could. I only boil water for tea and every now and then, I can't wait to put the blowers on it, it should make the house even hotter with the blowers.

I load it up the way and it burns for about 10 hours. It's a huge box..

Thats what we love too. Its not uncommon to see 13hrs or more and still enough coals to light a new fire! As for cooking we cook all winter long on it. A dutch oven cooks great as does all cast iron. Once you learn the hot and cool spots you can really make good food.
