I find it hard to get good pics of the mountains across on the mainland of BC. The last ones were zoomed in. Windy morning. Evening pics Zoomed in
Spring has come or maybe it is summer as it is quite warm for this time of year. View this morning after campinspecter headed off to get a load of firewood.
Fall has arrived and although we don't get the colour in the trees that elsewhere does, we do get the occasional fantastic clear and sunny day. Frosty this morning and didn't warm up much but no wind makes this look great. No fresh snow on the mountains across on the mainland but it is only a matter of a couple of weeks and they will be coated. The school that I work at is the green roofs on the right side of the first and second pictures. The same school campinspecter and I graduated from as well as our two daughters. Would be nice if our grandkids could too but they live at the other end of the island.
Like everyone else, love the pictures spaced out over 10-years. Also interesting to see your neighbor's mowers/deck and the campers/boats parked at the road and how they stay the same for awhile before they change.
I thought maybe campinspecter and Woodwidow might like these pictures I took yesterday. Our driveway.
Fall is my favorite time of the year. It always has been. The beauty & the smell of fall is just so wonderful!
I used to quite often. Getting home during lunch break takes more time than in the past so I now drive to work. I walk up hill a lot slower these days.
Nice. I can only imagine the colour that the trees were before everything fell. We have a few backwoods trails near town that get a carpet of alder leaves on it at this time of the year. It is a brown carpet though, not yellow.
Winter finally arrived. Hail/sleet, sunshine and snow. It may be here for a day. campinspecter wants to go firewood gathering now we have the canopy on the truck but not in this stuff. Hail/sleet Sunshine with snow threatening It's Snowing!! Later in the evening, it actually was sticking. About an inch of it. Shadow needs her red sweater on so you can see her.
This morning's wonderland. Temps at freezing and I think more is on the way. So far it is only about 2 inches.
