A new project

I my experience, by the time the roof gets added, the posts will twist or warp.
I think she wants turned columns too.

 

We finished the deck yesterday.
She is very pleased.

 

Thanks for all the wonderful comments. I'm sure glad it wasn't MD summer or winter when we did it.

 

If a tornado blows through, I would leave the house and get under the deck!! She looks STOUT!

That is a HUGE improvement over that ramshackle structure built with too-short pre-made stair stringers going the wrong direction, no railing, and.... I'm not even gonna get into it Nice job you and the family crew did! I'm sure the homeowner is ecstatic.

Shade over $3K in materials from Lowe's. Our local builder supply beat that price by $300, but needed it paid off in 30 days.

 

We could add a door if she wants one...

My first thought was oooh, a good, out of sight storage place for crap I keep because it is "too good to throw away, and I don't want to give it away because I could use it later" (which of course I never do - LOL.
