A few other things which rate close on the pleasure scale, but no fribbles.

Very good till they stopped carrying malt powder a couple years ago. Haven't been back since.

 

Thanks for enlightening us uneducated, unwashed Southerners about “Fribbles”. I had feared something much more sinister And yes, without malt powder, useless!

 

That was the original meaning of "Fribble".....but I think there are other read-between-the-lines meanings that showed up somewhere here (in the funny name thread perhaps). In this day and age of terms and words being redefined, fribble sounds like a different activity....

Dairy Queen still has malt though.

I had to look it up myself. But yeah, I'm thinking there's something more to the name....

 

Round 2. Last years monkey ballz turned to mush before I could plant them. I don't think anything came up.
So I spotted these today, and stopped on the way home from the ball-and-chain. I was pleased there were many there. I'll plant them next few days and see what happens in the spring.

 

Thats cool. See if you can get pics of the tree/shrub.

Funny enough, they're kinda nondescript.
And tall, 15' would be pretty accurate.

I planted 12 of those buggers.
Hedge spaced, will watch in the spring to see what comes up.
If I can grab pics of the parent trees I will.
