51 right now, calling for 41 over night, 71 inside, fired up the OWB yesterday for the first time this season.
The misses was going to kill me if I didn't fire it up, it was a cool low 50s in the house, so was definitely time.

Burning a mix of dead fall, ugly, shorty and small limb wood of all different species.

Looks like our first cool stretch is coming. Highs just above freezing and lows around -7c/19f with some snow and rain for the foreseeable future. We have had a very warm October but still a fair amount of frosty mornings. Looks like Saturday is going to be a nice day for yard work before things change. Im looking forward to the steady burning this change in weather will allow.

We had 88 degrees here in OK. They keep saying we're in for a long hard winter here so the longer it takes to get here, the shorter it'll be.

46 here now and getting down to near 40 by morning. Please dont toss me out of the group but Im burning a pressed log. My BIL gave us 2 cases of fake logs and 1 works good for about an 8 to 10 hour burn.

My wife keeps buying boxes at yard sales. I asked why and she said so I can cut them up for fire starters. I am going to use them for burning nuggets outside.
47 House felt chilly when I got up, so I put some pine on the few live coal’s left from last night. Fires going now.

53 and rain here this morning. I’ll throw some old White Pine in the Wood Gun now to keep the water nice and warm.

42/68. Just threw a hand full of noodles and splitter scraps in to take the edge off this morning. Will burn a few splits of red oak and let it go out. No fire needed yesterday or last night. Weather folk are saying 70 Wed, 72 Thurs and Fri this week. :dex:
