I'm looking into getting a trailer over tilt trailer next week. There is a dealer that carries Iron Bull about 2 hours from me. Does anyone have any experience with this brand? I've never seen a dump or any other trailer of theirs in person yet. I'm asking because they are almost 40 percent cheaper than Behnke or big Tex.

Only thing I can find online is that they don't have primer under their powder coating, so they tend to rust faster. I don't know if that has changed or not.

Any painted trailer will rust quickly

Yes. The primer underneath seems to stop the paint form peeling so badly. Gives a fella time to sand or blast it before cancer gets to far gone.

I guess this thread is dead. I ended up buying the iron bull after dealer and Norstar comfirmed they started spraying primer. Did end up bringing one home today. Wish I would have bought one of their dump trailers after looking them over for the fun of it.

I think Iron Bull trailers are one of the better built dump trailers. Usually thicker metal where it counts.

That is what I saw too. The corrugations on the sides would help enormously. Better than the PJ.

Do us a favor and keep us posted as to what you like and dislike about your new trailer. I can’t believe what new and used trailers cost these days. The used ones that I see are priced almost double what they cost new 10 years ago. I have been in the market for a 24’ 14000 lb gooseneck for a long time, but I can’t seem to swallow the cost.

    I'll take one tomorrow.
They have increased in price by more than a third just since the 2020 mess. I was looking at the 22 foot deck over tilt, but not for that price. I just bought a 18.5 deck over. What I really needed was more tax write- offs.
