    What's the best cleaner for a lever action? It's a Marlin 39a takedown and I learned my lesson and don't want to take it apart again.

    If you're not wanting to take it apart I like Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber. It's an aerosol with a lot of propulsion and it works quite well. Do it outside and just let er run out of the action. Remember to oil up afterwards.
