Had several tornados move through the area almost 2 months ago. Drove past this particular house on our way to check our beehives that had a beech tree down. The power company or service dept had cut it back from blocking the road. Otherwise the tree had not been touched in that time. Stopped to knock on the door every time we went by and no one answered. Finally saw a car in the driveway a couple weeks ago and left my name and number after another unsuccessful knock on the door. Got a call back from the owner last week and had time today to get over and cut up this beautiful beech tree. Had to be careful not to let any rounds roll down the hill into the house at the bottom! Had to noodle the trunk sections to get them loaded. Nice day to be out cutting wood!

I'd take Beech over just about anything where I am-including over Oak

Very nice. It's been a few years since I've got into any beech. It is a favorite of mine.

    Persistence pays!

That was a beautiful beech and a dream to cut up. Usually there are a lot more limbs to contend with.
