If, big if, that Echo comes state side, I might sell the 241 if the echo is all that and a bag of chips. Yep, bringing back old school speak. I won't sell it to anyone named Brad outside of Michigan though....

I've been corn fused before, more often than not.

 

Muffler modded 543. No time to test it as I decided this morning to take this saw as well as my XS401 to Walt's and we are leaving in the morning. I wanted it modded before going so here we are. I fired it up for a minute. Its much louder now and throttle response is quite a bit snappier. I don't have any matte black high temp paint on hand because I keep forgetting to get some so silver it is. My plan was to remove the muffler after Walt's, wire wheel off the silver and smooth out the brazing around the deflector but I like how it looks. Which ever one of these two saws goes to Kevin's in the spring will be wearing the unmodified muffler still on the Redmax so he can do what he does. Anyway, pics....

 

I wire wheeled the entire muff before baking on the paint.

Not this time. Driving the little hatch back. In the one tote I have the Makita XS401, 543xp, two gas cans, two gallons of bar oil, tools, spare bar for the 401 to run semi chisel if needed, 6 extra chains, chaps, gloves, ear pro. Other tote is that echo for Roger. I didn't bring the 241 because I only have one extra chain for it.

 

I still have time tonight if you run it over quick. Lol

 

I'll bring it Denny's GTG. It may or may not be wearing an 18" cannon Super Bar Duralite by then....
