Apple TV - Not As Good As Roku

Well, I ordered an apple TV. I get pretty much two "channel" that I don't get on Roku and airplay. Airplay work arounds are being developed for Roku, so I guess I better be happy with my watchabc app. If you are a cord cutter, avoid Apple TV since most of their channels require a cable subscription to use (watchabc, watchdisney, watchespn, etc). Really slim pickings for content.

Roku recommends 3 Mbps for basic streaming, that's 6x your speed

I'm not sure I can get internet that fast even. The plan I have costs me $55/month as it. Limited to 10GB upload/download a month.

You wouldn't want to be streaming video then.

I love my Apple TV but I love the Roku too.. The airplay makes it completely worth it for us as we watch a lot of web shows. We do not have cable but that's a non issue for me. PBS, smithsonian, Netflix, Hulu, and crackle are really all we watch anyway. The best part is the airplay music through iTunes anywhere in the house... What I don't like is the lack of freedom on Apple TV where the Roku excels. We watch the FHC TV youtube via airplay on our tv.

Roku is working on some airplay type stuff, the YouTube has a similar feature built in as does the android remote app, not sure about the apple remote app. And yeah. I bought the Apple TV for the air play and mirroring.
