ONLY if you PEEN over the exposed threads will your wheels be warranted against loosening! Failure to watch YouTube will void this warranty!
No pics ( didn't have time). Got a call today that a dump truck quit in middle of the highway. I get there and go over the normal things, Nothing. Happen to look in the tank and it's empty. Gotta love folks that don't care.
you and chippers just don't get along I guess LOL, at least it looks like just a knife and maybe anvil replacement? I've done some damage to mine for sure, so far this and getting wire in the feed wheels has been the worst tho I also had the engine fall out of my mini skid more than twice... lets see, I think 3 times its fallen out, I've snapped 2 curl cylinders and ripped the mount off for one if I recall bucket truck vs tree, truck won Excavator vs tree, tree won
this is why I never loan equipment out, if I manage to do this imagine what someone with zero experience and no care about repair cost would do! (I would like to note, I have to pay for all these repairs myself, I am in no way abusing stuff on purpose, but sometimes I do get carried away LOL)
To me, and I could be just the angle, but it looks like the back cut was too low. Below the face cut. Always something to learn on here.
I got nervous, was a head leaner but with a BRAND new multi million dollar barn within falling distance and a kinda windy day so I put a rope in it just to be "safe", well, first time pulling with the bucket truck and I guess I mis understood how low its geared, my dad was cutting, I was pulling, I actually have a video I took from in the cab of the truck as it split, not my proudest moment for sure https://youtube.com/shorts/A43SvfZS0UQ?si=EVqUEEw4t8gs_2A7
I think it was a few inches low, but that shouldn't matter in this case, I don't think I had probably close to 20K pounds of pull on it, and wind, and 15+ feet of weight/head lean already on it, overall a really bad plan but we went with it and paid the price, worst part is, the neighbor came over and got a video of it all, too bad I don't have a copy
