Here is GREAT running 262XP, that has seen a little more use than the first one- but still a decent looker and a GREAT (did I say GREAT?) runner. I am really tempted to keep this one, just a nice solid saw I would feel guilty about putting to work. I have not cleaned this saw up in any way, just checked tune and cut with it. AV is a little soft, but not needing replacing yet, and parts are available if you wanted to freshen it up (same condition as my mind 262 in my collection, and I don't think it needs it either). Working chain brake (plastic cover on this one, small hole melted through near clutch), everything good and straight on this saw, just the plastic has a little bit of weather to it. Again, absolute FANTASTIC runner. This saw will clean up pretty nice, and make someone one heck of a firewood saw. $320 PHO plus shipping. I know this one isn't as pretty, but compression is every bit as good, and will make someone a nice firewood saw for years to come.
If both of these saws are here on FHC for more than a day, start sending me offers guys. I want to move these, if I don't I will get attached... quick. And I am out of room as it is.
I wish I could do it today, but to many irons. If they are still here (for your sake I hope they are not.. But for my sake, I hope they are) mid week? I may have to have one. Just to see what all the hype is. This saw has a huge following.

Wish I had the cash..... I have to say my 357 is becoming my go to saw. The 60 cc niche is quickly becoming a favorite with me.

If someone doesn't buy this saw in the next couple days, I am probably going to keep it. I have not been this attached to a saw passing through my shop in a while. Cant even put a finger on it, just want to keep it lol. Feel free to PM me an offer if you think you need to own it worse than me.
Ughhh, if I didn't spend over a grand on saws in the past couple months... well, then I wouldn't have CAD... this seems to be a very reasonable price on a legend!
Gotta give the money to other ventures at the moment. .. I wish I didn't have to... I have really been wanting one of these. Plus, this would really give me an excuse to get out to your place....
I think its a very fair price. I snagged this one and the other one off of CL a week or so ago to flip, but the longer this one sticks around the more likely I am to keep it. I have another one that I bought from an AS member for $325 (and I put some more money in it), that was like the one I just sold. This one aint as pretty but I just like the thing for some reason. Cant put my finger on it. Some guys love 262's, some guys don't. I have never talked to a guy that spent any real time running a saw, that didn't like a 262. For me, they just feel and run just right. I think they were pretty far ahead of their time in a lot of ways, and still competitive with todays offerings (in handling and power).
Maybe you're just afraid once we get to talking, it's going to end up being a long visit lol. Cant help we got too many saws to talk about. The least you can do is come down here and make sure some of these ol' heaps still run ok . You know you are welcome anytime bro!
We never make a short visit. It's always a good time talking with you. Hard to keep it simple, when we both like saws. There is just to much to talk about!! May be a small GTG at my place.. Try to keep the 1st weekend in Oct, free in your calendar. If possible. ..
Its free, I'm on vacation (woohoo)! Paul Bunyan show is that weekend too though... If you have a gtg that weekend, would you be down for the show Friday (or Saturday, depending on when you would have your gtg)? I plan on coming down if you want to go
