Is that similar to a fribble?

Someone is going to get offended resulting in a sure way to get this thread locked down.

 

They're from Connecticut.

 

I guess that all is internet/meme words. Stuff I've heard for years here.
Snoot, snout
boop, to touch a snout or a nose. The word one says when doing so.
Fribble is Friendlies Ice cream language for milkshake. Just sounds risque'.
'Course, Clematis sounds like a disease one catches from living loosely . .
When your cat licks you, Lickety kisses.
When you tease the wife for a kiss, kiss fishing.

Lotsa colloquialisms are born in this house...

Nice. Eats mice whole I reckon....

 

No critter found, but fresh leaves for a nest. Either way Rocky got evicted today. Fresh wood im pulling from a shed.

 

You know, Brad, I've unstacked 6 cord in the last week, and nary a critter.
I found a partial snake skin today, but no mice or anything!
'Course we're not exactly rural here.

 

The pooch keeps them at bay or maybe you have critter resistant firewood???

 

Yep. Horntails. Very cool.

 

Doggo running around probably does help some.
We have woods close by, but not much overflow here it would seem. too much city? Lotsa hawks and Turkey Vultures here though. And probably a plethora of neighborhood cats.
I almost planted catnip just to encourage cats to stop in, and maybe keep chipmunks and such at bay.
I'd rather have woods and mice.

 

While moving a bit of wood from out to in, I found only a couple mouse nests.

And two living bats. I relocated them as we don't have very many of them around any longer.

 

Were the bats in hibernating state? Ive found them in roofs during the cold and were hibernating.

 

My neighbor is a salt water fisherman who evidently tossed a 2' striped bass carcass in the woods as i happened upon a flock of vultures eating it when i was wheelbarrowing some splits a couple weeks ago. Ugly birds they are!

 

No. They were a little upset that they went from a wood pile to a pallet and bark situation.

I guess it was like an eviction while using eminent domain. From a nice neighborhood to a housing project!

 

Well..................you've heard that saying "you are what you eat" right?

 

Side note, Now that things are getting a little more finished around here, I am having a friend build me a bunch of bird houses, and a couple bat houses. I have locations for a handfull of each. I'm hoping he'll make them soon so they can season-out for the winter.
