Another fun week down here in GA.
Tuesday, we had had 3 brush hogging jobs...
My cousin across the creek was 1st.
Mowed the big transmission line right of way...

A local woodworker wanted some pecan cookies for wedding decorations he is doing. Cut him 12, 3" thick cookies 0920231918_HDR.jpg
Yesterday, we took Blue Samson on a trip. Helped a friend clean up a big pecan limb that had fallen in his neighbor's yard. Close to 20" dia. 0921230912_HDR.jpg
Used the Echos mostly, did use the XS029 on the biggest part and and getting the 4910 out of a jam...:whistle:

Blue Samson ate that pecan, only had 1 piece that stalled it, swapped ends and split it. A load on the lift 0921231235_HDR.jpg
He got about 4 loads of split and 1/2 load of skinnies, 0921231223_HDR.jpg

T.Jeff Veal Doesn't the power company keep the area under the lines mowed or do they pay you for maintaining the area?

They spray or mow every few years. My cousin has a deer stand on the right-of-way, his sister wants hers cut often, right in her backyard.

Got off work yesterday morning, decided to fill the last tall tote we had for the restaurant.
Cut the limb wood from a water oak and red oak we got recently and a few small red oak logs from same tree. Finally got it done and in it resting place. 20230926_165501.jpg

Not much happened this past week, got the tote above done on Tuesday, had a rainy morning Wednesday, set up the chop saw under the tractor shed, reduced some 2x4's from a few shipping crates to fire starter size, filled another 55 gal drum and big metal can with those pieces. After the rain stopped, loaded 2/3 cord of 16" oak on the dump trailer and made a delivery 20230927_120326.jpg 20230927_131245.jpg 20230927_131420.jpg
She was very happy, helped us stack it on her front porch.
Had time Thursday afternoon to prep 4 more totes, doors cut, hinges and latches made... 20230928_161444.jpg

Worked some Tuesday morning. Got 2 logs from our neighbor cut 16" and split in a tote for him. Owed him some from a oad last year. 20231003_095335.jpg
Then got the conveyor set up for a dump trailer load going to a deer camp... 20231003_171912.jpg
Sure helped things go faster... 20231003_172003.jpg

Carried a 1/3 cord tote to the restaurant this morning. We built them a small 5'x6'x18" wood rack, keeps the wood safely stacked and neat. The owner, manager and lady that does the smoking really liked it.
    20231005_113647.jpg
Filled the rack and all but 4 splits on the ground, came from the tote

Built new sides for the dump trailer, decided to try them out with a cord+ load of wood we need to deliver. I see we need to add a strip at the bottom 20231008_201203.jpg 20231008_201230.jpg 20231008_203906.jpg

Looks like you're keeping busy with deliveries Jeff. How's the temperature been down south? Talking about getting to 60 for a few days here by the weekend.

Those rails look good on the trailer. 60 Miles is a good clip, was it mostly flat land or do you have any mountains/hills?
