I’ve been planning to get a pizza oven for years. Found a guy that makes nice brick ones. And I didn’t trust myself to weld something that could support 1200lbs so had a buddy I know make one with heavy duty casters. Have done two small curing fires.

That is sweet. I have debated on one myself but have held off. My last purchase was a smoker instead. An oven might be in the future though

Nice looking stand you guys put together for it.
Good luck and have fun with it.

If you don’t have a gym membership now is the time. You know what too much pizza can do to ones figure.

Neighbor built a wood fired pizza oven in his side yard a couple back, I drive by going in and out so I'd stop often and ask when dinner would be ready when there was smoke coming from it. Nice brick and cast iron doors built in, he did a good job.

The kind of neighbor you like to have as one, outdoors type like me, outside as much as possible doing stuff all the time like I enjoy. Between he and I kept a good eye on our little corner of the neighborhood from unscrupulous activity.

He stole my idea this past spring, sold the house and moved to Tennessee and had the audacity to not take me with him!

Young couple that bought the house appear to be total opposites, wouldn't know them if I saw them, never any activity outside and judging by the lack of yard maintenance ...well... who am I to judge I guess.

So my guess is the oven will eventually return to raw materials, and from the lack of a wood pile, and fuel truck appearing in their yard last week I suspect the wood stove won't be seeing any further use either.

We have a very similar case here. Last people were great, kept a nice yard. Not so much anymore, but I guess there is something to be said for just waving when they drive by. Could be worse.

Yeah we’ve noticed that on our street. People that we’ve known for years moved away. We weren’t super close to all of them, but when they’d walk by we’d say Hi and chat. New people, you never see them. Anyways we’re moving now…

As much as I love pizza, I wanted the oven more for cooking roasts and lasagna etc. So here’s a skin on pork belly. I cheated and finished under the broiler because people were getting hungry. Also made scalloped potatoes. Turned out great!
