Can't wait for the first freeze. Don't have to deal with all the weird customers. I usually get a name and address for delivery whenever you can when frost is on the pumpkin.

I know this is crazy town, but I unload all my wood to the left and then split it into multiple wheelbarrows for stacking hundreds of feet down the road. Wheelbarrowing is great exercise in my opinion.

Are you saying he wants it just put in a pile? I'd be all over those. Those are where the money is made.

I slightly disagree. The big $$ per hour is made delivering, wheelbarrowing and stacking. This has nothing to do with firewood. Could be anything the wealthy would like done for them.

All of those are big time sucks to me. What are you charging per hour to do those? I know you wrap it into your price typically. Right now, it's taking me 40-60 minutes to stack a cord in my truck. If I could toss loosely into a dump trailer, I could do in 10 minutes. Looking at a dump trailer to reduce this aspect for me.

I look at it this way. Why should I sell you a face cord for $225 dumped when I am making $300 stacked. Which takes me :25.

Anybody that wants a discount doesn’t pay tips. I know this tip stuff is strange, but it is a big part of my bank. I have only one restaurant account and don’t plan on finding another. No tips from restaurants.

I bust my ash making sure I don’t run out of seasoned firewood and run the numbers through my head on every part of the operation I do. I follow many firewood sellers and what they do to bring home the Benjamins. Think I do well for my minimalist operation.

The Uber wealthy don’t want firewood dumped in their driveway. They want it stacked where they burn it. If you aren’t dealing with the top percent of earners in this country you might not understand what they expect. I love physical labor and being out doors. My annual income from other sources and net worth is in the top few percent of earners in this country. This is why I know what they expect from those they do business with.

At the looks of that, I really don't think he or she heat's with firewood! Maybe an outdoor fire pit or smoker.

What in the Hell are you doing on FHC telling us about your "TOP Earnings" of the few percent? Do you take any Vacations to some exotic places in the world with your millions? Maybe see the Saudi Prince.... Here's some of the latest models of pickups you might consider...;):p

I can make more money stacking than I do making the wood. I generally don't do it though because I don't enjoy it and don't have time in the fall to stack it all.

Out here, I've had no-one wanting to pay to stack yet. What do you charge per cord for stacking?

Looks like 225$ for stacking and it takes him 75 minutes. Pretty good hourly wage.

I propose that there will be no discount and stacking is included in the price. If you don't want it stacked then I'll dump it for the same price .

My wife has a few overseas vacations planned. I just ask her to make the travel plans during the slow firewood months.

I jinxed myself by mentioning the tips on my last ten face cords. Delivered three FCs today with zero tips. My second delivery today of two FCs was a nightmare. Spent two hours with this delivery. The dude had no clue what two FCs was. Stacked in three different places and ultimately delivered the rest to one of his eight rental properties. Funny thing about it was he wanted some stacked in his garage, but not to0 high to tip over into his Silver Car. I busted my Ash on this delivery with two sets of multiple stairs and other weird stuff. So many things to say about this delivery, but late in the day.
