Another somewhat recent grab on the cheap, seller claimed it was in need of a new intake boot (he supplied a new one with the saw when I bought it), and I figured he was right already knowing these are know for that issue. So I pulled it down and gave it a good bath, it cleaned up way better than expected. Turned out the boot was fine and I'm guessing it had been replaced before as it looked like new. Found a bad (collapsed) fuel line and the fuel filter, stone type, was deteriorating so both got replaced, cleaned flushed and replaced diaphragms and gaskets in the carb. and replaced the pulse and oil line hoses. It now runs like new again and still looks pretty good, found that I still had an NOS spike for one of these and being that it cleaned up so nice, I put it on. I can still remember selling and repairing these at my very first "real job" back in the early 80's. Nothing too special, but I still kinda like them for being quite smooth runners at just under 54cc......

Got one myself that I haven't started on rebuilding. Have several old Homelites that need brought back to life........now to find the time
