Now 90 thousand without power. Fox weather has a reporter at Bar Harbour reporting live. shows some large boats breaking their moorings and running into the piers and rocks. In Rockland, (40 miles) trees down, power outages, etc. Still not much happening here.
I have a cheap 120v electric saw that I use to cut the occasional oddball in the garage...I need to figure out some sort of cutting box for it though as the chips mess is an issue with it...
I got 2 cord left to get out of the shed and bring in. This week it’ll happen, supposed to be a decent week with no rain for once. Got the trailer loaded sitting in the garage to throw down in the basement and stack later today.
Yeah just as I figured it would be. Lots of hype not much punch. We had to go to town. I saw just one tree uprooted. Our power flashed once.
A friend of mine took this picture a little bit ago. This spot is a state park about 35 miles from here. She posted it on FB along with a video clip. I don't know how to capture a video from FB
Getting some needed rain. The pond is low and the trees look really dry. It should be enough that the trees don't instantly drop all thier leaves with a good wind storm.
The hurricane was no sooner scooting out of here when my heart started acting out. Pressure, rapid pulse, anxiety, shortness of breath, etc. Off to the emergency room at the VA again. Atrial Fibrillation and pneumonia. I was on that darn stretcher for 18 hours. Test, and more tests. IV medication and those bright lights. CT scan and x ray. Finally, the heart converted. Now on blood thinners for the rest of my life. Home with a monitor on. Seems like when it rains, it pours.
That stinks. My dad has been on thinners for a couple of years and he does need to be careful about nose bleeds and bleeding in general. Please take care.
That sux, sorry that happened and super happy you were able to walk away from the place. Hopefully the blood thinners do their job.
Good thing your help (VA) is close to you savemoney ! But 18 hours? Crap! The last few years, I have noticed a down turn in care from the VA, have you? Not much but detectable. Must be cutbacks? Hope this isn't too "political".......nobody should have to their wear underwear in knots all day.
Hate to hear, glad you went in though. Couple years ago I waited too long to go, had pneumonia bad. Ended up 5 day 4 night stay in the hospital. Felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest. Before that, I really wasn't keen on needles and shots but they did it 2-3 times a day so now I just sit and watch no problem. And the blood thinners stink too, stupid little nicks or cuts become leaky forever. GWS!
