No reason to do that. The basement window is under the ramp so doesn't really supply any light, nor does it supply an egress. In 2017 I had covered up the basement window with rigid foam insulation and sheet rock, Had to tear out that section for the work to be done. Don't need another window in the garage either - it already has 2 smaller ones on the north side and frosted windows in the garage door. Once again, not an egress window as it was blocked by the ramp and railing, I think this picture says it all, as to why I would not put windows back in. The windows' only functioned to let in cold during winter and provide places for rot to set in.
Looks like a good day to begin hauling firewood to the basement. Of course, my lower back decided to hand out a little spasm this morning. Rest of the month will produce upper 30's to low 50's for overnight low temps; mid 50's to upper 60's for the highs. Ain't no postponing it now!
3 years? C'MON MAN! No political intentions with that there comment.....take it easy folks! (you know who you are.....) If you want it exercised regularly, you can leave it with me!
Oh you know, you know the THING! Too much truanamapreszure! I made it there. Buddy's LS swapped C10 and my dad's Road Runner.
Today I started filling the wood shed bay that I used last season. There was a bit left from this last heating season, close to a cord. I hauled and stacked 1 trailer load, then filled another trailer and have it parked and ready to stack. Birch, ash, box elder, cherry , and fie. A whole mish mash of wood We're having a fire outside tonight in the fire ring.
We got alot of much needed rain here yesterday and this morning so I lit a fire out back to burn some scraps and some brush. Another storm rolled through so me and the little man hung in the shop and played with some of my grandpops old homelites. The bow saw in the picture is especially cool because it still has the tag on it from his saw shop.
Been burning (responsibly) and posting on FHC most of the day. Finishing for the night with this grass pile. Kind of surprised it didn't take off and melt my truck and everything in sight as dry as it's been.
P Put in 2 1/2 cord today, got a couple loads of bark. Threw it in the fire pit just before dark and lit it. Also got rid of a bunch of 2 gallon oil cans today too.
