Midwinter is still Molly. Happy and smiling. We've talked a few times and she is looking forward to Florida. I wish her well.
She's a year or two away from moving. She probably wants to enjoy a warm house with all that wood she's gathered.
Brandon Scott that used to live in KY and was a member on here. He has arthritis bad and sold his place there in KY. Said the FLA heat helped him.
I guess I don’t remember him. My bad. But he has a you tube channel? Like to find it & check it out. Thank you.
When selling a house, the fuel oil left in the tank becomes part of the closing costs. I've not heard if firewood comes into play. It should, IMO.
My oil tank was empty and not much wood left in back IIRC. I agree...especially if they are a member here.
When we sold the guy said he wanted the wood that was leftover to burn in his outside pit. Let’s just say I burnt a couple cord that last month. There were only a couple wheel barrows left.
Last I heard he was back in KY to help take care of his dad...not sure if that was just temporary, or not?
pellets and firewood can be sold with the house, but it is not automatically part of the sale. So, the buyer can say that it needs to be gone, pay the going rate for it, or somewhere in between - whatever the parties agree to.
I texted her last night, she said she wanted to give away some firewood! I almost couldn't believe that came from her mouth! Her and Todd say it's time to go. I asked her to stay in touch with the group here at FHC.
I wish her well , I haven't seen any posts for a while from her. Would be great if she stays in touch here.
Give away firewood!!!!! I guess everything changes with time. Thank you for the update. I do hope she doesn’t forget us folks. I wish her the best in her new chapter of life. I wonder if she was a native of New England or how long she lived there. I often dreamed of settling up there someday. The grass is always greener and all that.
I believe I remember her saying she grew up in Maryland. Lots of folks move to Florida, and around here anyway lots of them come back (or halfway back, to the Carolinas) I only lasted in Florida one year, which was enough for me. My next move will hopefully be New Hampshire, but that won't be until my kids are older.
Last time we talked, Brandon was helping his dad through some health issues. I've been thinking about him. Miss seeing him on here.
