You're a better man than I working firewood in this heat. I saw 96 degrees in the truck about an hour ago. I mowed my lawn at 10am when it was cooler and I still got drenched within a few minutes :picard:

Looks like the sun is moving in on the splitter.
I started before 6am this morning, by 7 I was sweating like a hog. Delivered a cord of wood at 8 and I’m done for the day. Can’t take the heat no more.

I totally understand, we started about 6:30 this morning. But the heat definitely got us around lunch time. We both threw in the towel lol

Was in my classroom at 6:15 this morning. Temps were 82F. With the windows wide open and a fan blowing air into the room the best it got was 78 before reversing course and climbing straight up.
    Looking forward to the winter.

Hall84 did the shade give any kind of relief or were the temps still sky high?

The shade did give some relief!!!! I was waiting on some cooler days myself. I work out of town a lot, right now in Columbus Ohio. Soooooo sometimes I just have to suck it up. My wife does a lot, but 4kids and her going to college takes up most of her time. So I just pray for the best when I home. I have to leave Sunday going back for work. It is what it is, could always be worse brother.

My old man left me the splitter. Keep saying ima get a new one. But this thing just want give up. It can sit months, put it on choke and 2nd pull she is running. He told me run e-free gas in it and I’ll be fine. Anything with knots and twisted I just rip with my saw.

Same boat as you on that one!

My wife and I have a pretty good agreement with the division of labor with the wood and stove here. The agreement we settled on is I do everything related to the stove, and she does nothing related to the stove.
I can't quite explain this next part- but I still feel like this completely works out in my favor.
