Stove pipe disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled last night. Late in the year to be getting that done, but good to have off the list.
    63° here, no fire yet.

63ºF /17ºC outside, 71ºF /21ºC inside - at 6 AM even with the windows open. No wind. Real quiet this morning. No bird sounds. No crickets, bugs. Just jet airliners leaving Logan for points south at about 25,000 feet. Put some sunflower seed in one of the small feeders just to see what's out there. I know the hummingbirds are still around as they are in and out of the flowering hibiscus all day .

    Good grief.

What am I burning? Calories by just being outside. Go outside for about 1/2 hour and the shirt starts getting wet. They upped the prediction too. Looks like a pool day.

Hopefully just one last hoorah for these temps.

We might have an official heat wave this year defined as 3 consecutive days over 90. We haven’t hit 90 yet this year..

This Ryan Hall character has a prediction:
    The First Winter 2023-24 Predictions
I've been following him loosely for about 9 months now, and so far he's proven himself to be better than the weather channel in my eyes. Long-term prediction though? We shall see. That's asking a lot of anybody. At least Ryan goes in-depth with all the known factors playing a part in any pattern.

This guy gets an "A" for class presentation. My prediction is with all the rain we've been getting this summer in my area.If this amount of moisture is around this winter and the winter's cold We'll have more snow than we have ever seen. It'll make the winter of " 78 " look like flurries.

If we get an early freeze I predict frost will run deep as ground is extremely wet

Well. We hit 100 again today. We’ve been consistently running 5-10 degrees hotter than the forecast for months. I don’t know if the weathermen are that bad or if they are using wishful thinking instead of the actual data.

We hit 90 briefly yesterday. I believe that was the 3rd time this summer for 90. Also with the dewpoint so high I ran the air conditioner all afternoon. Turned it off before going to bed.

Hit 90ºF here yesterday as well.

I had to pop the window A/C back in the bedroom window as it was still 80ºF at 7:30PM. Only got down to 70ºF outside this morning .
Extended forecast looks like the A/C might run for the next couple of nights. I don't mind the heat during the day but the temp/humidity at night is rough for me to get to / stay sleep.

This should be the last stretch of oppressive heat of the year. By late next week I’m going to close up the pool before the leaves start dropping.

Yep I just told my wife a few minutes ago, I'm probably done swimming. Our water was 85 on Labor day. This is the last hot day today, 70's coming now. Heater went bad a few years ago but even with the heater I never liked getting out of 80 degree water into 70 degree air. I just cannot bring myself to shell out 3k to put in a new heater.

Only 90-92 today. Down from yesterday's high. Temps are suppose to be dropping from here on out. Hopefully they are right!
