65ºF outside, 69ºF inside. 69% humidity this is nice, cool crisp air, very slightest of a breeze every now and then coming in the window two warm days and then a week of this maybe, extended forecasts are rarely very accurate.
I felt like having a fire this morning, the days have been cooler along with the morning temps and this morning we had 47. I think that our coldest morning this summer was 41. We don't have many days left in August so we'll see what September brings for temps. Usually the earliest we start burning is Sept 15 and during a warmer fall, we usually start on Sept. 25.
My time is coming. Highs of 102 for the next 4 days and then a cool front will be coming through dropping highs to the lower 90's. I'm ready for fall. Mike in Okla
Made it up to 104 in La Crosse today beating the old record of 101 set back in 1948. Dew point was in the mid to upper 70's with a heat index of 115. I think I will wait until Saturday, when the temps are to drop into the low 80's, before doing anything with wood.
3PM 101F in the shed 99F in the shade on the front porch 78 dew point the air was literally dripping uffda
Yesterday with the temperature around 70 degrees I decided to fill a tote with wood. It would have been wiser to wait for that humidity to drop... Late in the day the temp really shot up. Today is a day to watch from the sidelines.
68 here at 8:30a. Highs predicted to 73 w/ chances of rain. We sure do need it. I had to water the garden yesterday.
We need some rain too. I’m having to water the garden every other day. This heat hasn’t done my tomatoes any favors. Mike in Okla
100f for the high. No first fire (in the stove) yet. Tomorrow mid-90's and then a slight cooldown for a bit.
