22ton splitter. Original B&S 5HP engine from 1985. I might pick up the axe now and then for the oak.

Could be some black oak in there. Some smaller trees mixed in and not visible. Other species In that pile include red oak, red maple, white oak and a hickory.

My sand mound is getting overrun with shrubs. I need to rent a walk behind bush hog this fall. I was gonna do it now but found a huge bald faced hornets nest in the brush.

whats the going rate for a sand mound septic install these days? The noreco wastewater treatment septic system installed at my place was about 20k or so in 2006.

Found a couple cicada killers last night on some freshly cut rounds. I was taking to them like they were a 150 pound junk yard dog. “I’m not going to hurt you and you’re not going to hurt me”:D

Guess it depends on size, location and dreaded permits. $32-35k for me.

Back at it again Sunday and last night. Humidity was fierce, but managed to cut 65+ rounds and hauled two more loads. 2 stroke exhaust is good mosquito repellent.
