Would you like to see the Washington "Redskins" go back to their name?

While I disagree with the pressure that was brought to change the Redskins name, it doesn’t make any difference to me, moving forward.

    Same as the Cleveland Indians/Guardians

It's coming! This is not stemmed from an individual group of people, this is coming "Directly" from the Indian nations!

I don't follow much pro sports lately but I did see on my phone the "Cleveland Guardians" playing the Phillies a few weeks back, I said to myself who the Frick is the "Guardians" so I looked it up and almost pizzed my pants they changed their name too  :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:  what a joke!

BTW they will always be the REDSKINS and I will refer to them as such, thankfully I don't refer to them much

I stopped watching most professional sports a few years ago when all the woke and kneeling crap was going on. I do watch some NHL but they are on thin ice (no pun intended) as they have pushed my limits a couple times.

I watch my fair share of sports , doesn’t bother me at all that they changed their name . Life is to short to worry about the name of a football/baseball team , someone kneeling or what not . I will admit tho I watched the Tigers play Boston this weekend and Boston was wearing some yellow and blue uniforms. Just didn’t look right imo .

The Red Sox broke out those colors after the 2013 marathon bombings.

The blue and yellow are the colors of the Boston marathon.

I don't care much for them either.

"If you wear them, people will buy". All about merchandising.

Don't watch sports much at all...but all this "wokeness" that is happening with the pro teams makes it even less likely that I ever will...I still have and occasionally wear an Indians jersey, just cuz I like the jersey...won't be buying any "guardians" crap though, they can pound sand too. I had issues with pro sports before they acted like someone cared what they think about "events" though...WAY overpaid they are, they sure not getting any of it from me!

I hope they go back to Redskins.
We had a referendum in 2018 or 2020 here in town to change/ stop the name of the high school teams from 'Indians'. It was mostly out-of-town trouble-makers who kept trying to force the issue. After years of leftist activism/abuse the town put it to vote; 9 to 1 against dropping the Indian name. Most of the activists have gone on to greener pastures. I'm really tired of their cancel culture and racism.
I want Aunt Jemima back on pancake mix, too - and not just for the token month of February.

Good portion of the ones that disagree with all the changes in names probably no longer drink Bud light in my honest opinion.

I've lost most of my interest in pro sports and it has been a long time since I watched a game. As for names, who cares? They could call a sports team just by the city name for all I care. I do however, like if they would change the Lions to the Loins.

I wanted to elaborate on my thoughts... I really don't give much of a S#!T either with the whole name change, what bothered me was the whole reason why it was changed in the first place. Peoples FEELINGS were hurt and they were OFFENDED by the name! What a bunch of BULLS#!T! :headbang: See what would happen if they tried to change the name of the Dallas "CowBOYS"! Yeah, I don't watch any sports other than snail racing!!! It's real exciting:picard:.

I would like for the name to change back, only because I value tradition and it would be anti-woke, so that makes me happy.

Never been a sports fan though. All the cities they're in are crap, and I've got other things to do than watch grown men play kid's games. I hope they all lose.
