1.18 around here is the lowest I've heard of. Went out for breakfast yesterday and a guy stopped me and asked if I used any/needed any. He had just bought some at that price.
I just locked in at .877 ($3.33 per U.S. gallon) a liter for this winter. Last winter I was locked in at .90 and .699 the winter before.
Looked up propane for my provider, and I would pay $4.21 after paying $4.16 in July. I use very little propane so my prices are higher than for those that use it regularly for HH. NH's largest provider (distributor) just dropped its electric rate by a huge amount; it was $0.22/kwh, and is now $0.12/kwh. According to a 2019 study (the first one I could grab my hands on), says that ~34% of NH's electricity is generated from Natural Gas.
I go get a 20 pound tank filled, runs $14. Other than that the gas stove cost us $100 roughly for a year. They fill it about once a year.
My supplier asked for 6.50 gallon I use 200 Gallons a year…. Ahh no come get your tank I will run double tanks to hardware store at that price Tractor supply $2.79
I am in the same boat as you are. We only use propane for cooking and we have a gas heater in the basement we can use if we so desire. We only have a small 120 gallon tank and we have been paying over $4 per gallon while our neighbors who use it for heating their homes get by with less than half of what I pay.
Only for the furnace here. I guess you could call it the "pre-shoulder and post-shoulder" seasons. Although, I have been thinking about getting a gas range and running a gas line for it.
I am in a similar use pattern as you. Due to the "TURD"S" carbon tax program he is trying to do away with gas burning items. Almost impossible to find gas stoves in this area.
The local supplier sells HHO, Kero and propane. The have a big sign on the front of the building that advertised their prices. They stopped putting the price up for propane because people were getting pizzed that they were being charged more than the advertised price. I told them to make their bottles and shove them a while ago and fill my little bottles at a welding supply shop.
Neighbor just filled a new 500 gallon tank, $4.80 a gallon. If you rent and use their tank, $3.20 a gallon. Owl
