I just got a Bluetooth OBDii adapter and installed the Torque App on my phone. I haven't had a lot of time to mess with it yet, but it seems pretty slick. For about $25 it seems like money well spent, so far.

I mostly got it to monitor temperatures when towing rather than rely on the factory gauges (which are usually just fancy idiot lights). We're going to be doing a few camping trips this fall and I'm on the fence about installing an aftermarket trans cooler (in addition to the factory towing prep cooler). If things stay in line I'll save my time and $ and not bother with one.

Anyway, anyone got any cool tricks/tips?

Ive played around with the gauges to try hypermiling for fun. It takes some figuring to get it dialed in but you can get it to do very accurate realtime and average MPGs on a lot of vehicles.

Its also been great for reading OBD codes, and for some cars can make certain maintenance work easier - for example if the have to get hte trans to a certain temp range before checking fluid level after a change you can use torque if you know what sensor to read the atf temp from.

Also the dyno functions can be fun for timing your 1-60 and estimating real HP at the wheels and such.

Haven't done much with it, except for reading and clearing codes. Looks capable of a lot more than I am.
