You can see my finger smeared the oil in the middle of the piston.

That's a good looking film of oil! I still have quite a bit of Dominator and H1R. But would like to try K2 and Motul.

Do any of them smell like Castor 927? I loved the smell of Maxima Castor 927!! Best smelling oil on the market!! But leaves a residue/build up behind that appears to be plasticized?

Yes for protection for an engine. Smell I wouldn't that order but H1R is last for me. I can't take the smell if there's no breeze.

Very informative oil thread guys. Instead have to try What some of you experts are using. I've been using Royal Purple hp-2c. Any pros or cons I should know about? $7.99 per qt seems to run clean, smooth and leave a nice oily residue inside case.

If i remember right the royal purpal is semi synthetic, were talking full synthetic. The dino oils will leave carbon deposits...the good synthetic does not. I could be wrong but I seem to remember RP saying semi...thought I saw it at orileys when I went looking for full syn oil.

The Lucas semi synthetic seems to burn pretty clean.

I have heard the opposite about the husky oil I use to run. Looked clean when I tore down one of my saws that had run only it for years though.

I wanted to say the lucas oil was $15 at my Orileys, cause I was able to buy am soil and have it shipped cheaper than buying two semi syn qts at a store.
